PROJECTS

Projects in recent years have included many relating to finance systems - implementations, transfers from one system to another and very 'hands on' report development assignments.  I have also worked or advised on CRM implementations, financial modelling, business intelligence, communications, virtual machine and cloud computing projects.
NETSUITE ONEWORLD IMPLEMENTATION
A large project to migrate from Access Dimensions.

Key aspects of this project were the development of database logic (T_SQL) to aid the transfer of data from the legacy system to NetSuite, customised workflows and reports / saved searches. In total over 600 changes were made to the NetSuite ERP / CRM system configuration prior to go live.

MICROSOFT DYNAMICS NAV TO SAGE LINE 50
As a result of downsizing and a poor implementation of NAV

With two businesses being merged and the need for a much simpler solution my brief here was to analyse and understand the existing NAV system and recommend ways to move over to Sage Line 50.  The project included the 'hands on' move of data and reconciliation as well as building a programmed estimating spreadsheet to replace the quoting system that had been developed within NAV.

CRYSTAL REPORTS AND EXCEL VBA DEVELOPMENT
A large group of recruitment agencies required specialist assistance

An associated group of recruitment businesses using Access Dimensions decided that they wanted to be more in control of reports being developed over their system and this is an on-going assignment.

Some existing spreadsheet reporting systems were improved by introducing links to live databases and building in some VBA posting routines within the spreadsheets.

SAGE 200 TO ACCESS DIMENSIONS
A complex project with two businesses merging into one.

The role here was to understand the requirements and assist in a 'hands on' sense with the data transfer, development of reports, advanced Excel spreadsheets and automated alerts from the new integrated system.
